How do you prepare cod?
- Preheat oven to 400°F (207°C).
- Arrange the cod fillets in baking tray. Drizzle the olive oil onto the fish, follow by lemon juice, salt and cayenne pepper.
- Bake the cod in the oven for 10 – 12 minutes, depends on the thickness of the cod. Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.
How should cod be when cooked?
Whether it starts fresh or frozen, cod should always be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145°. The fish will be completely opaque and will flake easily with a fork.
How do you cook a piece of fresh cod?
To shallow fry cod fillets, heat a little oil or oil and butter in a frying pan, add the fillets and cook for 4 – 5 minutes turning once. The fish will be cooked once the flesh has turned opaque and is just starting to flake.
