You bet. Some insects do, anyway. In fact, some of them pass an enormous amount of gas. When people talk about farts, they are normally referring to flatus, which is defined as gas that is produced in the intestines and released from the anus.
What animal does not pass gas?
Here’s a mind-boggling fact: Almost all mammals fart, yet the sloth does not. I learned this because I read Does it Fart? A Definitive Field Guide to Animal Flatulence, which published in April.
Is there an odorless fart?

All animals have digestive systems, and those systems produce gas. Ergo, ipso facto and razzmatazz all animals have flatulence. Some of that flatulence is expressed noisily and some silently.

There’s no sac in the middle that secrete powerful acids and digestive enzymes. In other words, the platypus has no stomach. The stomach, defined as an acid-producing part of the gut, first evolved around 450 million years ago, and it’s unique to back-boned animals (vertebrates).
