What will eat green hair algae? Rabbitfish like the Foxface are excellent algae eaters, if a bit large when fully grown, but will help to make short work of green hair algae. An algae blenny or a Starry blenny may also be effective, or a combination of algae eaters like tangs, rabbitfish and blennies in large reef aquaria.
What Florida fish eat squid? They are a major food source for open-water predators like sharks, mackerel, kingfish, little tunny and blackfin tuna. They’re also a favorite of many reef species, especially snapper and red grouper. For grouper fishing, I like to cut a squid wing into longer strips.
What fish eats snails and not shrimp? Yoyo Loach While peaceful to other fish species, Yoyo Loaches will search for snails to consume. Thanks to their penchant for digging, they’re quite effective at their job! These fish will use their barbels to feel around the substrate. What eats a leech? Fish, birds and other invertebrates are the main predators on leeches.
What can eat a hydra? Three Spot (Blue) Gouramis are particularly voracious consumers of Hydra. Paradise fish and Mollies are also very fond of eating Hydra. Even pond snails will gobble them up. If adding fish or snails isn’t an option for you, heat can also be used.
Can fish eat hotdogs? Most of your small fish like Bluegills and Sun Perch will also happily take small pieces of most any kind of sausage wieners are just the cheapest and most easily bought.
What fish can you catch on sweet corn? Naturally yellow (or occasionally red) in colour, sweetcorn’s brightness and uniform size makes it easy for fish to identify on the dark bed of the water. Sweetcorn is one of the top baits for carp, barbel, bream, tench and sometimes big roach, although most species would take it as a bait.
Can you use chicken liver as a fish bait? If you can’t fish with cut bait, you can always use chicken liver when fishing for catfish. Very simply, I got a piece of mesh that I use for tying roe bag and put the chicken liver in there. That mesh will help keep that chicken liver on the hook and help you catch more channel catfish!
