Was Shackleton’s ship found? The search for famed polar explorer Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance, which sank in 1915, is finally over. On March 9, 2022, the Endurance22 expedition team announced the wreck had been found in the Weddell Sea off the coast of Antarctica. The 106-year-old vessel lies at a depth of about 10,000 feet.
Do electric powered boats exist? Swedish tech company Candela recently unveiled its “flying electric craft,” called the C-8. The electric boat actually uses hydrofoils — wings or fins that lift most of the boat out of the water — to significantly reduce drag, allowing the C-8 to use roughly 80% less energy than a conventional boat, the company says.
