Go Fish rules are simple
If there are three or more players, each player is dealt five cards. If there are only two players, deal 7 cards to each. The remaining cards are placed in a pile between all the players.
When you “go fish” you can take any card from the pool. If the player gets the cards they asked for, either from the pool or from Kathy, then the player gets another turn. If the player gets all four suits of the same rank, then they can put the cards face up in front of them.
How many cards do you have to have to lay down in Go Fish?
If you have a set of four matching cards, you may lay it down nearby. If you need other cards to complete a set, you may ask another player for the specific cards. For example, if you have two greens, you may ask a particular player for all of his/her greens.
To start a game, shuffle the cards and then deal a hand face-down to each player. If there are 2 to 3 players, each player gets 7 cards, but if there are 4-6 players, everyone gets 5 cards.
