The Molly fish will take around 3 to 4 months to grow to their full size, and, in part, this will depend on their water conditions, diet, and more. With good care, it should take no longer than 4 months for a molly fish to grow to full size.

Do molly fish need friends?

They are social like danios and prefer to be kept in schools. They shouldn’t be kept with any fish with long fins as they are known to nip, so even though angelfish, gouramis, or other long finned fish could be good tank mates for mollies, they are not compatible with danios.

Do mollies like bottom of tank?

Molly fish aren’t bottom dwellers. While they’re known to have the occasional algae snack, they’re not naturally bottom feeders and should be swimming around the entirety of the tank.

Will mollies have babies in my tank?

Do fish like watching TV?

They have no idea what they’re watching, which means they can’t appreciate the images; they only show interest strictly based on movement and light. Animals with more complex brains, like cats and dogs, will also understand what they see, like people and other animals.

Do fish like lights on or off?

Aquarium fish do not need light and it is best that you turn it off during the night. Leaving the light on can cause stress to fish as they need a period of darkness to sleep. Too much light will cause algae to rapidly grow and make your tank look dirty. So the short answer is no, do not leave your lights on.
