What are the Go Fish rules?

When you “go fish” you can take any card from the pool. If the player gets the cards they asked for, either from the pool or from Kathy, then the player gets another turn. If the player gets all four suits of the same rank, then they can put the cards face up in front of them.
The goal of the game is to collect as many complete sets of four numerically matching cards (one from each suit) as you can. Players can collect the cards they need from other players, or by “fishing” from the cards in the center.
A player forms and lays down pairs instead of 4-card books. A player whose call is unsuccessful and draws the card being asked for does not get another turn. A player asks for a specific card instead of a rank.
How many cards do you start with in Go Fish?
The dealer shuffles and deals the cards: a. For two players, deal seven cards to each player b. For three or four players, deal five cards to each player. Place the rest of the cards face down.

How many cards do you have to have to lay down in Go Fish?
If you have a set of four matching cards, you may lay it down nearby. If you need other cards to complete a set, you may ask another player for the specific cards. For example, if you have two greens, you may ask a particular player for all of his/her greens.
Do you always have 7 cards in Go Fish?
Go Fish rules are simple
If there are three or more players, each player is dealt five cards. If there are only two players, deal 7 cards to each. The remaining cards are placed in a pile between all the players.
What happens in Go Fish If you run out of cards?
If you run out of cards before the game ends (which will happen if you pair your last card by asking for it or drawing it from the stock), you draw 7 from the stock (or the remainder of the stock if there are 7 or fewer cards in it) to replenish your hand. Your turn then continues.

Can you lie in Go Fish?
You are not allowed to lie when you play Go Fish. It defeats the purpose of asking if someone has something you need, as people would always lie and say they do not.
How do you play a player?
Just by chatting or laughing with other guys, you’ll be showing him that you don’t need him. Don’t look over at the player to make sure that he sees you having a great time.
Flirt a little bit.
Play it cool. Don’t flatter him.
Keep things light and fun. That’ll make him want to talk to you more.
Tease him a little bit.
Can you play Go Fish with a regular deck of cards?
Go Fish, or Authors, is a card game that requires 2-5 players and a standard 52 playing card deck. Go Fish is typically described as an easy game that young kids enjoy but, people of all ages can have fun playing it. The objective of Go Fish is to have the most “books”, or 4 of a kind, by the end of the game.
